Sticking with Christmas and Gold today, but not such a shallow focus.
The bear recites 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' when the batteries are good, his head moving while he reads.
I used another old manual lens for this shot. The focus was very hard to get perfect even with a tripod. It is a Formula 5 80-200 Zoom f4.5. The push pull and turn system was fun to use.
The presents are still unopened as we haven't been to visit family in Auckland yet.

Oh, he's too cute! The way he is leaning up against the presents and then looking up while he reads is very endearing and you have given him great lighting to read by too. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely scene. The golden wrappings give and your light it a nice golden glow.

Love the lighting and the bear is very warm and cuddly looking.
ReplyDeleteHe has a Churchill feel to him. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so cute especially with the glasses. Not yet opened your presents? Wow, I admire your self-control!
ReplyDeleteLovely image, I can see where it was hard to focus with the gold of the bear similar to the gold of the gifts, manually focusing is the key. I like that the DOF is not too shallow though, I think it's important to really see the gifts in this pics, so I think you did good. :-)
